What’s up Foodies! With the spike of Covid-19 cases right now, Malaysians need to rely on technology to keep their businesses afloat. While a lot of eateries settled with going digital, this restaurant decided to take it up a notch and use robots instead. That’s right, an electronic shelf on wheels will deliver your food to the table with a happy kawaii face.

Located at Central i-City Shopping Center, you can see that NALE The Nasi Lemak Co. restaurant has fully embraced robots in its premise. The robot is used to enforce social distancing and to cope with manpower shortages. Posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page is a video of the robot on the clock. Despite being a non-living thing, this robot has a warm personality that will make you go “aww” when you look at it.

As you can see in the video, once you make the order, the worker will place your food on the robot and key in your table number. The robot will then gently roll over to your table and you can pick up the food from its tray. The best part is, it can change its facial expressions randomly. Giving it a positive and warm personality. Definitely worth visiting eh?
